About Dr. Jacob Dixon, DMD

Dr. Jacob Dixon grew up in Portland, Maine. He studied biology at the University of Virginia where he received his bachelor’s degree while competing on the Track and Field team. Prior to dental school, he worked at an Orthodontist office in Maine, assisting the doctors in a variety of orthodontic procedures and helping the patient coordinators. He also worked on an Agile IT team testing veterinary software.

Dr. Dixon dreamed of helping patients overcome dental phobia and restore their smiles. He returned home to New England and enrolled in Boston University School of Dental Medicine and received his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) with Summa Cum Laude honors. He continued to further his education at the University of Connecticut, completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency. This program expanded his knowledge and abilities with medically complex patients and intricate procedures.

Dr. Dixon is driven by the ability to resolve patient concerns in ways that blend science and artistry. He strives to bring precision and creativity to provide clinically sound and meaningful solutions for his patients. Dr. Dixon recognizes the profound effect dentistry can have on a patient’s comfort, confidence, and overall well-being. Dr. Dixon prides himself in a comprehensive care approach that addresses all patient dental concerns from their foundation.
